Mallacoota is: a nature lover’s paradise located in the southeast corner of Victoria. Surrounded by beautiful native forest, pristine lakes and endless beaches, let me introduce you to our little paradise here in Mallacoota.

Are you about to visit Mallacoota for the first time? Never heard of the place before? Or have you been coming here every year for as long as you can remember? No matter which one you are, there’s always something new to discover in Mallacoota.

Below you can read a little bit of information about what you can do here in Mallacoota. Of course this is not an exhaustive list! Read my blog and Facebook posts to learn more or simply email me. I’d be happy to recommend a place or an activity.

Bush or urban camping

Mallacoota is a campers’ heaven. Not only do you have the choice of camping in town at the Mallacoota foreshore camp ground, but you also have your pick of camp sites in the surrounding national park. But be quick, because they fill up quickly in summer.

Boating and watersports

Come summer, Mallacoota is descended upon by boating and fishing enthusiasts. This is one of the reasons why the council redeveloped the controversial Bastion Point boat ramp. There are many places where you can take not only your boat, but your kayak, canoe and surfboard.

Fishing and seafood

Those wild oysters in the photo above were harvested at Seal Cove, just outside Mallacoota. Many more wild seafood delights, including sweet water fishing, await you here in Mallacoota.

Other activities

What else can you do in Mallacoota apart from boating, fishing and camping? Well, Mallacoota is a great place for doing nothing. Yes, that’s right. No doubt you’ve come here to get away from the rat race and just slow down and tune out for a while. Mallacoota is definitely the right place for that. It’s been designed for taking it easy, relaxing in the sun, being alone on the beach and taking on a walking trail or two – only if you feel like it, of course.

Would you like to know more about my bees, healing with honeycomb, organic gardening or superfoods, bushwalking or simply wish to join me on a motorcycle trail around Mallacoota, in Victoria or New South Wales? Then please send me an email (I speak English and German). I invite you to follow my daily adventures on my Facebook and Wolfraider and Mallacooty Honey Flickr pages.
